Our story began in Aberystwyth, a seaside town in Wales, where we collected small amounts of seaweed from the shoreline to experiment with filmmaking. After much trial and error, we learned that this naturally abundant plant could make valuable plastic alternatives.
As lovers of the sea living on the coastline, we have seen the negative effects of microplastics and their harm to our oceans and ecosystems. As scientists, we know that this is the tip of the iceberg. We started as three friends on a mission, and since 2020, eight more people have joined our team at our laboratory in St Asaph, Denbigh, and hubs in Liverpool and London.
The team is passionate about sustainability and is dedicated to creating innovative solutions to combat plastic pollution. We are making sustainable alternatives to plastic and are part of a larger movement to promote a cleaner and healthier planet.
We believe that creating a better future is possible, and we are proud to be part of a growing community of like-minded individuals and organisations who share this vision. From our humble beginnings, we have emerged as an exciting leader in biodegradable and compostable materials across multiple industries.
