Our film is both vacuum formable and flexible, which sets us apart from our competitors as we have a like for like and scalable alternative to traditional laundry capsules made from PVA and PVOH.
Our seaweed-based film is a climate friendly alternative to PVOH and PVA, and a solution to the environmental problem caused by them. Unlike PVA, which is only partially broken down by waste water treatment plants, our seaweed-based film dissolves completely in warm water, leaving no harmful residue. Only 25% of PVA breaks down during treatment, meaning 75% gets returned to our soil and drinking water in the form of microplastics.
